Activities

Example: A Day at Camp

Arrival

Upon arrival parents and carers will sign in and fill out any other necessary paperwork. Children are welcomed in by our friendly staff.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club vailable for those who have booked it. We serve a healthy range of breakfast foods including toast and spreads, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, and a special "hot option" each day. Food is served until 8.15am.

Free Play and Structured Activities

Children will have plenty to do as soon as they arrive. Our free play and structured activities include:

  • Volleyball / Nuke 'em'
  • Table Tennis
  • Dressing up
  • Construction
  • Board Games
  • Arts & Crafts, including loom bands and hama beads
  • Playground Games

Workshops

We believe in choice and good decision making. In the mornings children are offered a range of activities. They are able to choose which activities to take part in and can choose who they do them with. Some of our choices include:

  • Drama
  • Parachute
  • Big! Arts & crafts
  • Swimming
  • Sports
  • Outdoor games
  • Shipwreck
  • When able, we offer specialist activities like music and gymnastics

Swimming

Swimming is optional and is a fun-filled splash session. We have a qualified lifeguard on duty at all times and keep our staffing ratios. The pool is shallow throughout so less confident swimmers may be able to participate. Swimming can take place in either the morning or afternoon.

Lunch

Children will need their own lunch. Please do not pack any nuts. Lunch is usually accompanied by a movie followed by some more chilled time to relax.

All-Camp Activity

The afternoon kicks off with one of our amazing All Camp activities. From Carnival to Commando and Dutch Auctions to Gold Rush. These "big ticket" activities always go down well.

7:30 am - 9:15 am Breakfast Club
8:00 am - 9.00 am Free play and morning activities
9:15 am - 9.30 am Union -- Children come together to learn what's on, meet the staff and find out the day's Bonzo Block clue
9:30 am - 11 am Workshops (in Pods) -- Children have a range of activities to choose from
11 am - 12 pm (Time may vary) Swimming. Children who are not swimming will have other options available.
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Lunch
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Free play and afternoon activities
2:00 pm - 3:30 pm All Camp Activity -- Everyone's favourites including Commando, Gold Rush, Carnival and more!
3:30 pm - 5:00 pm Afternoon activities, free play and Bouncy Castle
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm Free play

Sports Stars

Sports stars offers children the chance to try new sports and activities, helping them to discover different ways to keep active whilst having fun.

Sports Stars includes a diverse range of individual and team sports such as:

  • Tennis
  • Rounders
  • Cricket
  • Dodgeball
  • Football
  • Hokey
  • Netball
  • And more!

We also provide a variety of active play sessions focusing on games-based physical activity rather than traditional sports. These help to improve the children's social development, confidence, coordination and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

Sports Stars and Our Values-Led Programme

At Camp Glide, children are taught our values throughout the day: respect, responsibility, honesty and caring. These values help give children the confidence to thrive and experience new activities they wouldn't usually try.​


Camp Glide's values are heart at the heart of our sports programme. Children become more complete players knowing the value of fair play, teamwork and respect for teammates and competitors.

What To Bring

Please make sure items are labelled so they can be returned if lost and found.

Clothing & Gear

Comfortable layers for an active day (it may get dirty).

Footwear suitable for running around.

Sun hat and sun cream (please bring your child with sun cream applied, we will advise or help your child reapply throughout the day).

Swim gear and towel if swimming

Food & Drink

Balanced and healthy packed lunch (remember to bring an ice pack)

Snacks for breaks

Plenty of liquid (this can be refilled with water throughout the day)

NO NUTS

Money For Snack​

​There is a tuck shop available at Camp Glide. Parents may provide their child with some money for snacks or refreshments at our tuck shop. Money can be left with a member of staff.

No Electronics​

Please DO NOT bring phones or other electronics. Camp Glide cannot be held responsible or compensate for loss or damage of items.
